Hi-C contact maps (5-kb resolution) showing a long-range (∼2.5 Mb) loop (red circle, betweenelF4E-4-PGRP-LA) that initiates at 2–4 h and is maintained throughout embryogenesis, and a second late-stage loop (blue circle) betweenGluRIB(left) andGluRIA. The contact matrices were downsampled to contain the same number of informative reads at each time point, for a more quantitative comparison. The location of insulator ChIP peaks, characterized enhancers, DHS, and gene models are indicated at both sides of the loop.
