We analyzed subunit exchange kinetics data for the human nuclear pore complex (PDB:7R5K). The boxplot shows residence time distributions for coco (Nup93, Nup43, Sec13, Nup133, Nup214, Nup85, Seh1, Nup107, Nup37, Nup58, and Nup98) and post-subunits (Pom121c, Nup62, Nup42, Nup35, GB210, Nup153, Nup50, and Kpnb1). Differences between the distributions are assessed by the Mann-Whitney U test. The coco subunits show slower exchange kinetics, in line with a high energy barrier separating their unbound and bound states.
