AFM STXM contrast obtained across different temperatures: T > T M FF . The OOP and IP contrasts are indicated in purple and yellow/orange, respectively, as that in Fig. 2 . The AFM textures across the folds were mapped out by ‘stitching’ together multiple images, and optimizing the focal point for each corresponding region.
