Partial view of the X-ray crystal structure of 2OMe down a C2 axis, where dA shows the 5.39 A distance between two CuI centers, dB gives the 3.57 A spacing between the centroids of nearest-neighbor aromatic rings, dC and dD show the 2.71 A C-H···π interactions inferred to stabilize 2OMe, and dE, one of the C-H···F interactions involved in anion binding. Hydrogen atoms are white; fluorine and boron in BF4– are green and pink, respectively.
