Representative CODEX/RNAscope images of lesions from an OT/R (GC39) and an OT/NR (GC16) sample stained with antibodies directed against CD45 (yellow), CD31 (cyan), and TCF4 (white) and RNA probes against the MLGs (S100A1,CDH19,SOX10plusMITF; red) and four MES genes (DCN,TCF4,LUM, andTHY1; green). MES cells (positive for the MLGs, four MES genes and TCF4 protein and negative for CD45 and CD31) were detectable in the NR but not in R sample.
