The fluorescence signals of YFP-tagged SAG21 and APS1 proteins were observed in fungal cells only after incubation with EVs isolated from transgenic plants expressing SAG21-YFP or APS1-YFP for 24 h but not at 0 h. There was no fluorescence signal for mSAG21-YFP or mAPS1-YFP after co-incubation. EVs were isolated from corresponding Arabidopsis transgenic lines expressing SAG21-YFP, APS1-YFP, mSAG21-YFP, or mAPS1-YFP. Scale bars, 10 μm.
